It is okay to miss them

It’s okay to miss them. While listening to a song, when the next song comes up, you immediately try to change or pause the song, because that reminds you of them. When you go to that same place from where everything started with them, reminds you of them. While having that cheesecake at a cafe, where you used to go with them, reminds you of them and you stop yourself from not having that cheesecake anymore. It’s so funny and sad that we start making plans, rearranging our whole life because of them, because not only that made us happy but also it assured us that everything will be the same, just the way you thought it would be. But sometimes, life doesn’t go easy with us. People change. Suddenly all the plans that you made, seem to go offbeat. Everything starts to change its dynamics and suddenly that person becomes only a memory. The only memory, that only belongs to you. You find yourself to be smiling, when you remember them, you think to yourself how they would have reacted when you’d ask for their opinion. Suddenly you’re not asking them anymore, but you’re asking yourself. And one fine day, when they actually return to you, it’s just not the same anymore. We didn’t mean to hurt them, but sometimes, you have to give yourself a chance too. And maybe sometimes, it’s okay to let go. There’s a saying, if the presence never mattered, then the absence wouldn’t as well. It sure worked out for them, and for you? No, it doesn’t have to be like that way. You could still always remember the good parts of them. You shouldn’t ever regret the fact about how happy they made you. And it’s okay to miss them at times. And it’s also okay to wish them all the best for their lives. And most importantly they would always have a part of you and you would always have a part of them that would only and only belong to you.
